NHATS Releases New Technical Papers
The National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) has released a new technical paper that describes the information collected in follow-up rounds that allow for the creation of a dementia classification variable in Rounds 2 through 5 of NHATS. Another technical paper serves as a guide for using the duration of mobility device use and help (DM) and duration of self-care help (DS) information in NHATS. The paper reviews the contents of the DM and DS sections and describes several potential applications for these unique national data.
